My 5 Memorable Moments From Rockaway Festivals

5.  The scene of these youths dancing to Gerhana Ska Cinta set @ Rockaway 2012.

Lovely set and crowd. Nostalgic.

4. Anthony Green 'judging' the drumming competition @ Coheed and Cambria/Circa Survive showcase 2013.

This girl won the comp. Didn't stop there. The band hanged out with fans after the comp for quite sometimes before their set.

3. Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional) serenading 'Dusk and Summer' @ Dashboard Confessional showcase 2012

The tamest Rockaway show but the most beautiful one. Stripped down to the best. Esp when he played my fave song of DC. (photo source: timeoutkl.com)

2. Enter Shikari (Rockaway 2013) and Story Of The Year's (Rockaway 2011) crazy sets.

Enter Shikari: Just like in their live videos on Youtube. Mental!

1. The pits (death, mosh, circle) at the final Rockaway 2013.

Bring Me The Horizon brought the house down.

Thanks for all of these, Rahul, Livescape Asia & Rockaway Festival. You guys are awesome!

Hope Rockaway 2013 is not the last;)

Review: The Kings of Summer, Insidious 2 & Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2

You might like this if you like: Where The Wild Things Are, Bridge to Terabithia, Goonies.
High notes: Charming coming of age story, beautiful cinematography & colorful characters. Great cast! Nostalgic. And Alison Brie;)
Low notes: Might be another typical coming of age flick to some viewers.
Rating: 4/5 stars. One of the best non-blockbuster movies this year.

You might like this if you like: Insidious, Sinister, The Orphanage
High notes: Picking up from the end of the first movie right away and the scares continue until the end credit. The tension was thrilling. The soundtracks made this movie 5 times better. A tiring watch but I had fun enduring it.
Low notes: Getting ridiculous and ridiculous which might bother those who expected a genuine horror flick. And when it tried to "compliment" the first movie, some of the efforts looked... meh. Missed opportunity. That's the only problem here.
Rating: 4/5 stars. But the first chapter is slightly better than this.

You might like this if you like: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Wreck-It-Ralph
High notes: A lot of food/animal puns. Colorful animation.
Low notes: Quite average which is disappointing. No substance whatsoever but yeah, this is not Pixar.
Rating: 3.5/5 stars. For all the puns.
